Library

The VROOM Library is a community library featuring books, zines, comics, prints, and other printed matter around the topic of contemporary drawing and experimental comic art. The library features both emerging and established artists and collectives based in Belgium and beyond. Since its opening in 2025, the library provides a glimpse of the makers of our growing community.

The donation-based library is open to view during our public events, and is used as a quiet reading space that is in constant flux. We let the audience reorganise the shelves, and ask our collaborating artists to make their personal selections. The library is archived on our website and is constantly growing.

The library opened its doors with a theatrical performance presenting the books to the public one at a time. The launch included an inauguration of lamps by Erro Rasker, pillows by Freddy Kakkerlak, a pancake book, the VROOM Library T-shirt, and an alphabet riso print made of letters found in books from the library.
